We want our faith to be founded upon what the Bible establishes to be true. And, we want the Word of God feeding our faith above all (Luke 4:4; Romans 10:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). So, we hold to certain doctrines - or biblically established truths - as a local church as well as a denomination.
Doctrines, by the way, that are in harmony with the tradition of the Church throughout history. After all, the Christian faith is an historic faith.
